Even now, I don't think of myself as a completely grown adult.
Q — What does it mean to become an adult?
Even now, I don't think of myself as a completely grown adult.
As we get older, it's easy to start telling ourselves, “I'm an adult now.” But I don't want to forget that there is still a child in me too.
Being innocent. Being honest. Crying. Laughing without protecting yourself. Saying, “I want this.”
I don't think becoming an adult means getting rid of all of that.
I'm still a kid in plenty of ways.
But if I keep changing a little every day, and one day someone can say, “He was a good father,” or “He was a good partner,” maybe I'll feel like I got a little closer to being an adult.
Even now, I don't think of myself as a completely grown adult.
