Can love remain after divorce?

For me, yes. She's someone who cares deeply for my child. That alone means she remains important to me. I'm grateful to her. Sometimes I still say, “I love you.” The answer is usually, “Thank you.” Haha. So I joke, “I knooooow you love me too.” But I don't need her to say the same words back. The shape of the relationship is different now. I don't think loving someone gives me the right to demand that they love me in the same way. My love for someone and their love for me are two different things.
