Do you think we're given only what we need?

I don't know. A friend once told me, “You aren't given a trial you can't overcome.” I don't know whether that's actually true. But looking back, it does feel as if the things I needed to keep living arrived somehow, often through another person. I don't believe wishes come true just because I sit still. I'm not waiting for miracles to fall into my lap. But there have been many moments when someone was there exactly when I needed someone. That's something I've experienced again and again.
